I am soooo excited to present to you pumpkin recipes for kids! I must confess that I find pumpkin to be one of those veggies that I can hide into delicious meals and my kids have no idea they are eating veggies.

First I’d like to explore why pumpkin is good for you!

  • High in Beta-Carotene (which your body turns into vitamin A) This is great for your skin, eyes, and immune system.
  • High in antioxidants which help prevent cancer
  • Good source of vitamin C
  • Good source of iron and folate
  • High in potassium which is great for your heart

Pumpkin Recipes for Kids

I do want to mention that using good quality ingredients makes a big difference. I grow my own pumpkins, but that is not always practical. Farmers Markets have abundant pumpkins in the fall.

The choices for organic canned pumpkin is abundant!

Cinnamon is another ingredient I tend to be fussy about. We use Ceylon cinnamon because of its health benefits. This one has a wonderful strong flavor!
