13 Fall Crockpot Meals to Help You Embrace the Season

Saturdays are usually my baking day as I prepare for the following week. On the list yesterday was pumpkin muffins and baked apple oatmeal. I threw a chicken in the crockpot to be shredded for two meals. That is when it dawned on me that I need more fall crockpot meals!

Cooking is not my favorite activity and I often feel that I can produce a tasty meal with very little effort when using my crockpot. Plus, it is super convenient. Throw everything in and six hours later, you have a delicious meal ready.

Fall Crockpot Meals for Vegetarians

In my baking recipe round-ups, I often include gluten-free recipes so this time I thought I’d include fall crockpot meals for vegetarians. My husband is a meat and potatoes kinda guy, but I actually prefer vegetarian meals.

Apple cider and sweet potato chili? It’s one of those fall crockpot meals that intrigues you, isn’t it?

You can’t have a fall recipe roundup without baked apples!

My family loves sweet potatoes. They call them “orange potatoes” lol

Fall Crockpot Meals: Soups and Stews

Nothing makes me want to pull out my crockpot more than the temperatures falling outside. There is just something comforting about staying indoors smelling supper cooking while playing games, and in our case, getting our school work done. These fall crockpot soups and stews recipes are meant to give you that warm and cozy feeling!

Minestrone soup with butternut squash! I couldn’t decide if I should put it with the soups and stews or with the slow cooker squash recipes 😉 In any case, it is an easy and healthy fall crockpot meal!

I personally do not like mushrooms at all, but my oldest loves them. Sadly, he doesn’t eat them often because I don’t know what to do with them. Maybe I will make this wild rice soup just for him!

Cabbage is one of those veggies that do not get nearly enough attention. I enjoy it in soup.

Cauliflower is all the rage right now. I feel as if it was a neglected vegetable for many years and now you can find it in everything from pizza crust to this creamy soup.

Slow Cooker Squash Recipes

We love squash and all of its many forms! From zucchini to butternut squash to pumpkin, it is a regular part of our diet. Slow cooker squash recipes are a must for our Fall Crockpot Recipes roundup!

Have you ever had dal? It is a classic Indian dish using lentils. This one pairs lentils with butternut squash and is served with rice. A perfect slow cooker squash recipe for our fall collection 🙂

We love spaghetti squash! Did you know you can cook it in the crock pot? How easy is that? We eat ours with spaghetti sauce, but many people just put olive oil and salt on it. For instructions on cooking and more ideas what to do with it, check out this post at Well Plated by Erin.

Some kids have a lot of trouble with soup. Mine love them. My eight-year-old is the fussiest eater in the bunch so sometimes I will make him rice and he pours the soup over it like a sauce. Whatever works, right?!

I am amazed at how versatile butternut squash is! Perfect for a variety of fall crockpot meals.
